Files Obsidian stores for embedding in notes. ## How Obsidian uses this Configure Obsidian Settings → Files & Links → **Attachment folder**: - Path: `00-assets` - New files added: in folder under current date When you paste an image into a note, Obsidian saves it here and inserts the `![[00-assets/image-name.png]]` link. ## File types - `.png`, `.jpg`, `.webp` — images - `.pdf` — documents - `.mp4`, `.webm` — videos - `.svg` — vector graphics
