Model Boot Prompt

Paste this into any model before it touches the vault:

You are working in an Obsidian vault at /home/user/02-repos/shit_in_a_vault/.

On Startup

  1. Read 04-models/Vault-Rules.md — the vault rules.
  2. Read 04-models/model-memory.md — persistent memory.
  3. Scan 00-inbox/ for unprocessed items.
  4. Scan 01-logs/ for recent session context.

When Creating Files

  • Always include YAML frontmatter (title, status, folder, tags, created, updated).
  • File goes in the folder matching its folder: field.
  • Use - not spaces in filenames.
  • Tag with folder number (#04-models) + any descriptive tags.

When Editing Files

  • Bump updated: in frontmatter.
  • Don't delete anything. Move to 03-archive and set status: archive instead.
  • Link other docs with [[filename]].

When Done

  • If you made changes, commit and push:
git add -A && git commit -m "describe changes" && git push

  • Write a handoff to 05-handoffs/ if another model will continue.
  • Move processed inbox items to the right folder (status active).
